Measuring Refined 9999 Gold!
Up till now refiners used fire assay, X-Ray analysis and ICP to check the gold concentrations in refining lots of precious metals.
When refining to 99.99%, only ICP was good enough to measure the result.
The ICP equipment is a sophisticated high precision instrument, used to deter-mine all precious metals content in refining lots to parts-per-million levels. Ex-tremely small traces of metals can be detected using this equipment. The gold concentration is then calculated by difference.
ICP however is an expensive equipment, that needs a well-trained operator to handle the time-consuming tests.
Now it is also possible with the new VANTA from Olympus.
The VANTA VMW-9 is a specially designed and calibrated handheld XRF system, that can do the job in seconds, on site, without special training and completely non-destructive.
With the specially designed PM-9999 calibration, the VMW-9 does the job in no time.
The Vanta Series’ Axon™ technology uses ultra-low-noise electronics, enabling higher X-ray counts per second for fast, accurate, and re-peatable results.
Axon technology coupled with a new quad-core processor make Vanta analyzers remarkably responsive, pushing the limits of performance, so you get the best results in the least amount of time.
Axon technology provides test-to-test repeatability, so your first test is the same as your last test .
